Super Mario Galaxy 2

Released in 2010, this game is a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy. This is (in my opinion) the BEST mario game. A spaceship that's shaped like Marios head? Perfect choice. Each level being a different planet in various galaxies? Yeah, cool as fuck. It has the most fun gameplay and the music is sooo good. Each level was so charming and the characters had so much life to them, plus all the little hidden easter eggs and missions were so fun to find. Using the Wii nunchucks with the controller, 10/10 no notes. Never actually played the original Super Mario Galaxy game but I'm sure it was also awesome.

Mario Kart

Mario Kart Wii is the sixth version of the Mario Kart series. Released in 2008, I feel like this is the best console to play Mario Kart on. My family only had one Wii Wheel to use, so it was always a battle to see who got to use it. My go to player was always Baby Peach or Dry Bones on the standard kart.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, released in 2011, is the first video game in the skylander series. This game is totally epic, each cutscene felt like a mini episode and you changed your character out by placing different toy figures on the Portal of Power. The favorite characters to play were Gill Grunt and Stealth Elf. The storyline of Skylanders was really captivating as a kid, and the hidden secrets on the home base island were so exciting to discover.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

Animal Crossing: City Folk is the third game in the animal crossing series. Released in 2008, this one was probably the least memorable animal crossing game to me once I got the ds games. This game did have pretty cool features though, namely, the city you could visit after riding the train? bus? (honestly don't remember). There was a horror fanfiction written based off this game and it was pretty fire.

Wii Sports Resort

Released in 2009, this is the classic Wii game that everyone knows. Honestly all of the sports were fun to play, but my favorite ones had to be: swordplay, table tennis, canoeing, and cycling. Cycling was particularly fun to play with my siblings because the races were actually serious and our arms would actually get tired from how much we were pumping the controllers. Canoeing was also fun because there a side mission you could do where you collect all the ducks on the pond to bring back to their duck mom and it was really cute.

Wii Play

Before there was Wii Sports Resort, there was the og Wii Play which came out in 2006, and this game had probably one of the best Wii based game: Find Mii. Find Mii was so fun and stressful, you basically had to find certain miis, whether that was identical ones or ones that had certain characteristics. Second best game was fishing. Third was probably charge, which you rode a bull and raced.
